If you were in charge, what do you think should be done to supply more affordable homes for young people so they can live independently?

Bullet Seven new homes opened in Dolfach
Today was the official opening of six homes and a bungalow in Dolfach, near Llanbrynmair. Cllr Barry Thomas, Chair of Powys County Council: "It is so important to keep local people in the area. All tenants require a local connection. This is vital." He also noted the importance of good insulated homes, which brings down the cost of living for the tenants, before revealing a locally made stone plaque.

Two families opened their doors to give the public a look inside. A couple with three children living in an end of terrace three bed house explained they were only using two pounds a week of gas and the electricity bill had halved. "The heat of the television is enough to warm the room, so well insulated is this house."

The properties have been developed by Mid-Wales Housing with Social Housing Grant.
Agor saith cartref newydd yn Nolfach
Heddiw oedd agoriad swyddogol chwe chartref a byngalo yn Nolfach, ger Llanbrynmair. Dywedodd y Cynghorydd Barry Thomas, Cadeirydd Cyngor Sir Powys: "Mae mor bwysig cadw pobl leol yn yr ardal. Mae angen cysylltiad lleol ar bob tenant. Mae hyn yn hanfodol." Pwysleisiodd hefyd pa mor bwysig yw cael cartrefi sydd wedi'u hinswleiddio'n dda, gan leihau costau byw i'r tenantiaid, cyn dadorchuddio plac carreg a wnaed yn lleol.

Fe wnaeth ddau deulu agor eu drysau i'r cyhoedd. Yn byw mewn t? tri llofft ar ben y teras mae cwpwl gyda thri o blant sydd ond yn talu dwy bunt yr wythnos am nwy, ac mae'r bil trydan wedi haneru. "Mae'r t? wedi'i inswleiddio mor dda fel bod gwres y teledu'n ddigon i wresogi'r ystafell."

Datblygwyd y tai gan Dai Canolbarth Cymru gyda Grant Tai Cymdeithasol.
